Description

If you ever panic in class when you hear the words "pop quiz time", here are some things you can try to escape the moment. No guarantee they will work though.

Hello. My name is Nick. But you probably know me as Misterepicmann. Or Shirley. But that's a story for another time. I joined YouTube back in 2009 with no real expectations other than to be myself on camera. Right now I am pursuing a degree in cinematic arts at college and I certainly hope to use that knowledge to make movies one day (Spitting water at my roommate and riding a broom around the room doesn't count...lolz). I currently own a company called Lost Light Films which is my primary focus after school and I hope I can merge my efforts into that company once school is completed...if I actually pass.

Explanations

POP QUIZ= A surprise test, a short examination the teacher sets in class when you didn't know you would have an exam.

MAGIC TRICK= A strange wonderful things that looks like magic, for example, to make a rabbit disappear inside your hat or to cut a woman in two (but not for real).

BODY DOUBLE= A movie actor who substitutes for a leading performer, especially in distance shots or scenes not involving the face, such as close-ups of a portion of the body. In dangerous scenes, actors often have a body double doing the dangerous stuff when we can't clearly see their faces.

REVERSE PSYCHOLOGY= A method of getting another person to do what one wants by pretending not to want it or to want something else.

CAMOUFLAGE= /kæməflɑːʒ/ The method of hiding people or things from an enemy by making them appear to be part of the natural surroundings.

PRETEND= To give a false appearance, to make believe you are or do something which is not true.

EVASION= The act of escaping, going away, especially when you want to avoid an attack or when you don't want to do something.

CUT!= This is what a film director says when he stops recording a scene for a movie.

YOU ALRIGHT?= It is very common in conversational English to drop the auxiliary DO and the inversion in questions and simply make a question by raising the pitch of the voice.
