Cuando salen a tomar algo, los españoles, etc. suelen ir a varios bares, y eso sería GO TO THE BARS. Los ingleses suelen ir a un pub (allí casi no hay bares, solo pubs) y se quedan allí todo el tiempo, así que no es normal decir TO THE PUBS en plural porque no se suele hacer. Pero no es cuestión lingüística sino cultural. |
