So I wanted to cover this song, but I wasn't sure how to make it my own. So, I recorded the entire thing ACAPELLA!! Everything you hear in this track was created by my voice, human beatbox and finger snapping. This took FOREVER but I hope you guys like it! I know it's been like 6 months since I've made a video so I made sure to throw in some extra fun lovin' into this one. :)

It's the most beautiful time of the year.
Lights fill the streets spreading so much cheer.
I should be playing in the winter snow,
but I'mma be under the mistletoe.
I don't wanna miss out on the holiday,
but I can't stop staring at your face.
I should be playing in the winter snow,
but I’mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty with you. With you, shawty with you.
With you, under the mistletoe. Yeah
With you, shawty with you. With you, shawty with you.
With you, under the mistletoe.
Everyone's gathering around the fire.
Chestnuts roasting like a hot July.
I should be chillin' with my folks, I know,
but I'mma be under the mistletoe.
Word on the streets, Santa's coming tonight.
Reindeer flying thru the sky so high.
And I should be making a list, I know,
but I’mma be under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty with you. With you, shawty with you.
With you, under the mistletoe.
With you, shawty with you. With you, shawty with you.
With you, under the mistletoe.
Hey love, The Wise Men followed a star.
The way I followed my heart
and it led me to a miracle.
Hey love, don't you buy me nothing
'cause I am feeling one thing
Your lips on my lips.
That's a merry merry Christmas.

Kiss me underneath the mistletoe.
Show me baby that you love me so.
Oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh. Yeah
Kiss me underneath the mistletoe.
Show me baby that you love me so.
Oh oh, oh oh oh oh oh.
SPREADING= Going everywhere, filling the area.
CHEER= Joy, happiness.
I'MMA= (coll. AmE, esp. black AmE, also spelled Imma, I'ma, I'm a) I'm going to
MISTLETOE= /mɪsəltəʊ/ A plant used in Christmas for decoration (see picture). Tradition says that if you are under the mistletoe with another person, you can kiss them (see under the Meaning tab for more information)
WANNA= (coll., esp. AmE) Want to.
MISS OUT= If you miss something out, you are not there so you can't have something or do something that you probably want.
STARING= /steərɪng/ To stare is to look at someone or something intensely, almost without blinking.
SHAWTY= /ʃɔ:tɪ/ (coll. AmE, esp. black AmE) baby.
A shawty is an attractive girl, a hottie.
CHESTNUTS= The fruit of the Chestnut tree, a big autumn nut (see picture)
ROASTING= If you roast something, you cook it over the fire or in an oven.
CHILLIN'= Having a good time, having fun.
MY FOLKS= (coll.) /fəʊks/ my friends; my family. The people close to me.
WORD ON THE STREETS= A term used to tell someone of a rumour but without having to mention who the rumour was from. It gives the listener the false impression that a lot of people know of this rumour mainly because of the word "streets".
The sentence "Word on the streets Santa's coming tonight" means: I know Santa's coming tonight because somebody told me. The usual construction is "Word on the street is +++++".
REINDEER= (we have two plural forms for this word: one reindeer, two reindeer or two reindeers) Reindeer are animals similar to deer that live in the north, in the snow. They are the animals that pull Santa's sledge (see picture)
THRU= (coll. AmE spelling) Through.
MAKING A LIST= Since Santa's coming, he should be making a list with all the presents he wants from Santa.
THE WISE MEN= (better known as The Three Wise Men) are three men (magicians, kings, astrologers or Zoroastrian priests according to different traditions) who travelled all the way from the East to Bethlehem to worship Jesus when he was born. They knew which way to go because a star in the sky was guiding their way to Jesus, so they followed the star all the way to Judea and then to Bethlehem.
DON'T YOU BUY ME NOTHING= (coll.) Don't buy me anything.
This sentence is an imperative but we can use "you" with imperatives to emphasize the command or request. The double negative you can find here (don't – nothing) is not acceptable in standard English, but it is often found in colloquial English.
'CAUSE= (coll. also spelled coz, cus) Because.
MERRY= (Old fashioned) Happy.
This word is not very common today, but we still use it a lot when talking about Christmas and the most usual Christmas greeting is "Merrry Christmas".
UNDERNEATH= Under, below.
YOU LOVE ME SO= You love me very much
The complete phrase should be "you love me so much", but it is very common to simply say "you love me so" (or "I love you so", etc)
What Justin is saying in this song is that he's growing from boy to man. It's Christmas time, he should be playing in the snow with his friends and writing a letter for Santa, but instead, he prefers to be alone with her girlfriend... yea, he's a grown teenager now.
THE MISTLETOE TRADITION
On Christimas time, Anglosaxon people hang some mistletoe somewhere, usually in the hall, near the front door. If a man and a woman are under the mistletoe, they can kiss. They should kiss :)
The origin of the tradition of kissing under the mistletoe is obscure. The most likely explanation is that either the custom stemmed from the association of the plant in Dark Ages Europe with Freya, the Nordic goddess of love and beauty, or it could have come from the ancient belief that mistletoe symbolises fertility.
Guys, if you wish to follow the correct mistletoe etiquette this Christmas, you should remove one berry from the plant before kissing a lady. When all the berries are gone, I'm afraid to say no more kissing is allowed underneath the mistletoe.
