Michael Colton Dixon is an American singer born in Tennessee. He first became famous when he placed seventh on the eleventh season of the TV talent show American Idol. More of You is the fist single, released in the summer of 2014, from his second studio album Anchor.

NO ONE ELSE= No other person.

EMPTY ME OF MYSELF= Dissolve my ego, eliminate my personal ambitions and desires (because they are all wrong)

WHO I'M MEANT TO BE= The person that I should be.

I SURRENDER= I stop fighting (against you)

SO CLOSE= So near, so tight. To hold something tight is to grab it strongly so no one can take it away from you.

TO GAIN THE WORLD AND LOSE MY SOUL= This is a biblical reference from Mark 8:36 (For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?). That means that the most important thing is to love God and your neighbour (= other people), so if you work hard to be rich and famous but you forget to be a good person and love, then your life is useless.

BLESSED= /blesɪd/ (you can also say /blest/) holy, worth of worship.

SAVIOUR= (AmE spelling: savior) It is a title given to God in general or more usually to Jesus in particular, because he saved us from eternal death.

I SURRENDER ALL= I give up everything. If you give something up, you let it go, you don't hold to it.

Emphasizing how temporary our earthly kingdoms are, the chorus helps us realize the importance of surrendering to whatever God has for us. The more we empty our lives of materialistic ambitions, the more it will be filled with God's love.

Colton started singing as a young teen, and always wanted to use his gift for ministry. “I started singing when I was 13 years old. I truly believe my voice was a gift from God to share the Message,” he says. “I hope that you enjoy my music, but furthermore, I hope you can connect with it personally and apply it to your everyday lives.”
