PART 1: AT THE SUPERMARKET

Hi, it's me again, Daniel. I'm shopping at a supermarket. I needed to buy some food. I've bought some tomatoes, some onions, and a half a kilo of apples. When I go to the supermarket, I use a shopping list. I write down what I need to buy so I don't forget. The amount of something you buy is called quantity. Let's practise speaking about quantity.

ACT 1

In this act, we will hear people speaking English naturally and fluently.

- Honey. I want you to go to the supermarket and get some things.
- What, right now?
- Yes. Now, write it down so you don't forget anything.
- Ok, what do you want?
- Get a couple of carrots, some tomatoes and a kilo of potatoes.
- Fine. Is there anything else you want?
- Yes, get a quarter kilo of cheese.
- I'll get those things for you. Do you have any money?
- Yes, here you are. Oh, before I forget. Do we have any milk?
- Yeah, There's a little bit in the fridge
- Ok, you may go now!
