How to form and use the Present Continuous tense.
We can use the present continuous to talk about things happening now:
- I am studying English
- I am reading this text
- He is playing football now
We can also use it to talk about things happening around now (not at this very moment but around these days), or for temporary situations:
- He is working at the car factory (but now he's at home sleeping)
- I live in Madrid (habitually) but this month I'm living in Paris because I'm studying French (temporary situation)
And finally, we can also use it to talk about the near future (things that will happen soon)
- Tonight I'm going to stay at home and watch TV
- She's going to visit her parents next Sunday
