Bonfire Heart is the first single from British singer-songwriter James Blunt's fourth studio album, Moon Landing. The song has been written by Blunt, in collaboration with OneRepublic's lead singer Ryan Tedder, with whom Blunt has previously worked for the single "Stay the Night".
The song debuted at number six and climbed to number four in the UK Singles Chart, his highest charting hit in several years, partially thanks to a decent amount of airplay including on national station BBC Radio 2.

For a long, long time Your love is like a soldier, firing bullets in the sky And I've been looking at the stars Everybody wants a flame And today is our turn But they don't want to get burnt Your mouth is a revolver I've been putting out fires all my life loyal till you die |
|
Days like these lead to You light the spark in my bonfire heart Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts Nights like this lead to People like us Love like ours We don't need that much just someone that starts |
|
No one offers you a shoulder for a long, long time But I've been looking at you This world is getting colder, strangers passing by No one looks you in the eye |

Everybody wants a flame Well, today is our turn They don't want to get burnt Just trying to break through Trying to make you mine |
