Bonfire Heart is the first single from British singer-songwriter James Blunt's fourth studio album, Moon Landing. The song has been written by Blunt, in collaboration with OneRepublic's lead singer Ryan Tedder, with whom Blunt has previously worked for the single "Stay the Night".
The song debuted at number six and climbed to number four in the UK Singles Chart, his highest charting hit in several years, partially thanks to a decent amount of airplay including on national station BBC Radio 2.

For a long, long time Your love is like a soldier, And I've been looking at the stars I've been putting out fires all my life Everybody wants a flame firing bullets in the sky But they don't want to get burnt Your mouth is a revolver loyal till you die And today is our turn |
We don't need that much just someone that starts Love like ours Nights like this lead to People like us Starts the spark in our bonfire hearts Days like these lead to You light the spark in my bonfire heart |
This world is getting colder, But I've been looking at you No one looks you in the eye No one offers you a shoulder for a long, long time strangers passing by |
Well, today is our turn Trying to make you mine They don't want to get burnt Just trying to break through Everybody wants a flame |
You light the spark in my bonfire heart Love like ours Days like these lead to Nights like this lead to |
