Mumford & Sons are an English folk rock band. The band consists of Marcus Mumford (lead vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums), Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, guitar, resonator guitar), and Ted Dwane (vocals, string bass, drums, guitar). Mumford & Sons were formed in December 2007, emerging from West London with such artists as Laura Marling, Johnny Flynn and Noah and the Whale.
The band name originates from the fact that Marcus Mumford was the most visible member, organising the band and their performances. Lovett indicated that the name was meant to invoke the sense of an "antiquated family business name".
The band uses bluegrass and folk instrumentation, such as a banjo, upright bass, mandolin and piano, played with a rhythmic style based in alternative rock and folk.
The song sold 153,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release. It is also their highest-charting song both in the US and the UK to date. It has sold over 2 million copies in the US as of April 2013, their second song to do so.

Which we've known These days of dust And I fell heavy into your arms Well I came home Like a stone |

Will you forgive and I won't forget And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I'll kneel down, know my ground And I'll kneel down, wait for now So break my step Will blow away with this new sun And relent |

Shake the excess Now in some way And I will wait, I will wait for you And him with less Know what we've seen And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you |

So I'll be bold As well as strong I'll kneel down, know my ground And fix my eyes And use my head alongside my heart So take my flesh But I'll kneel down, wait for now I tether mind free from the lies |

Keep my heart slow And I will wait, I will wait for you Bow my head And I will wait, I will wait for you And I will wait, I will wait for you Raise my hands Paint my spirit gold Because I will wait, I will wait for you |
