One of the most famous Bible verses, especially in America. Performed by children. This is the original quote:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
(John 3:16)

John 3:16

For God so loved the world
The whole world
Everyone
Anyone
That's a lot of people
that he gave his one and only Son
His only son
that whoever believes in him will not perish
but have eternal
life.
Wow!

JOHN 3:16= This is the standard English way of citing a Bible verse. The first word is the name of the Bible book (in this case "The Gospel According to John"), the first number is the chapter, and the second number, after the colon, is the verse. If you want to quote several verses then you will use this format:  John 3:1-12

FOR= Because

WHOLE= Complete, entire, all
- The whole world = All the world
- The whole planet = All the planet

THAT= So that (expressing purpose)

ONE AND ONLY= An emphatic form of "only". An only son is a son with no brothers or sisters.

WHOEVER= Anybody.

PERISH= (formal) die.

ETERNAL= Neverending.
