You're my honey bunch
Sugarplum
Pumpy-umpy-umpkin
You're my sweetie pie
You're my cuppy cake
Gumdrop
Snoogums-boogums
You're the apple of my eye

And I love you so and I want you to know
That I'll always be right here
And I love to sing sweet songs to you
Because you are so dear

--- LOVE WORDS ---

In some languages, such as Romance languages (Spanish, Italian, French, etc.), lovers use romantic words to address each other: my princess, my queen, my love, my heart, my life, etc.

In other languages, such as English, lovers use food words to address each other (!): honey, sugar, sweetie, candy, etc. Everything sweet, for sure, so they’re probably thinking of having them for desert. Listen to this cute love song and see yourself:

MY HONEY= My love, my darling. HONEY BUNCH is the same, but more.

SUGAR PLUM= a piece of candy that is made of sugar and shaped in a small round or oval shape. (see picture)

PUMPY= A pumpy is a very fat cake filled with chocolate on the inside and covered with butter on the outside, eaten for Easter in some parts of the States. Some lovers call each other “pumpy” because the same as “honey” or “sweet”, it’s delicious and sweety.

PIE= A cake. A SWEETY PIE is a very sweet little cake.

CUPPY CAKE= A  CUP CAKE is small cake baked in a paper container shaped like a cup, often with icing on top. A CUPPY CAKE is a little cupcake. (see picture)

GUMDROP= A small candy made with corn syrup, gelatin and some flavouring oils or powders. (see picture)

SNOOGUMS-BOOGUMS= No idea, does this word exist? Probably something to eat. Sweet too.

THE APPLE OF MY EYE= The person I love the most (a common expression, but again, you can also eat apples!)

I LOVE YOU SO= I love you so much, I love you a lot.

YOU ARE SO DEAR= I love you very much.
