Squeeze's day off
- Wow, that was great repair.
- Manny: Yeah, but I didn't think we'd ever get that rusty old bolt out of Señor Peña's gate.
- So, what's next, Manny? Huh?
- Gracias, Fixit.
- No, no more repairs scheduled right now, Squeeze. But I'm sure one will come up very soon. In the meantime, I'm going to relax with my favourite puzzle book!
- And we can practice our music!
- Yeah!
- Squeeze, aren't you going to play with us?
- Did Manny say "no more repairs"?
- Just for now, Squeezie, not forever.
- Okay, I guess I'll play with you.
- And a-one, and a-two, and a—
- Wait! stop!
- What is it, Squeeze?
- Was that the phone?
- I thought I heard the phone.
- No. I don't think so.
- I didn't hear anything.
- Let's start again. And a-uno, and a-dos, and a tres!
- I know I heard it that time. It's got to be a repair call!
- Squeeze, the phone didn't ring.
- Oh, you guys go ahead and play. I think I should stay close to the phone, just in case there's a call and we don't hear it. I think the phone's gonna start ringing right about... now!. Uhm... now. Maybe... now?
- Squeeze, why don't you play with the others?
- I have an idea! Why don't we go to Kelly's hardware store? There must be something at Kelly's that needs fixing!
- No. we want to keep playing.
- Yeah, we're having fun.
- Come on, guys.
- What if Kelly needs a repair and we're too busy having fun to help?
- I think Kelly would let us know if she needed anything fixed, Squeeze. But I am all out of batteries, and I need some for my new wall clock. Maybe we should take a quick trip to Kelly's.
- Then, vámonos! let's go!
- Come on, tools! Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho!

- Looks like Mr. Lopart is having some trouble.
- Yuppie! --- Uh, I mean, maybe he could use our help.
- Oh, hello, Manny. What can I do for you today?
- We just came in because it looked like you were having a little trouble.
- Trouble? who, me? Ha, ha. No, no trouble.
- What is that thing anyway?
- What's what? Oh, you mean my taffy stretcher. Well, not just any taffy stretcher, it makes the best taffy in all of sheet rock hills. And it works just fine.
- Are you really, really, really, really, really sure it doesn't need to be fixed?
- Oh, I'm sure. Works perfect. But I appreciate you stopping by. Bye, bye.
- De nada. Call if you need anyth-- hmm.
- I don't need any help from Manny and the tools. Ah-ha! Oh, I know how to fix this, Fluffy. There! Ooh, that's not good.

- I'll bet there's a million-gazillion things that need to be fixed in here.
- We'll talk to Kelly, and see if she's got anything that needs repair.
- No, it's a real problem. I don't know what to do...  Oh, can you hang on a second?  Hi, Manny. Hi, tools. I am so glad you're here. I can really use your help with something. I'll be off the phone in just a minute.
- You guys hear that? I knew it! She's got a real problem.
- Yeah. Well, let's hurry up and fix it, so we can get back to not working again.
- But we don't know what to fix yet.
- Well, that pipe looks a little loose.
- Um, I don't think so, rusty.
- It must be these old-fashioned flat head screws holding the shelves together. Kelly probably wants some fancy new Phillips head ones.
- Ridiculous! Those older screws are perfect. She just needs them tightened.
- Maybe Kelly wants us to cut the shelves into smaller pieces so there'll be more of them.
- Let's just wait until Kelly gets off the phone to see what exactly she wants done.
- Oh, I am so glad you're all here. I really, really need your help.
- We're ready. Tell us everything you want done, and don't leave anything out!
- Okay, well, I need to paint the back room.
- Paint? we can paint.
- Oh, thanks, Squeeze.
- But I can't paint today.
- What I really need to do is pick out a colour.
- The old colour just isn't working at all.
- The problem is, I can't decide between pink or brown.
- That's it? That's the problem?
- Yeah. I don't know what to do.
- Ooh, that's a hard one.
- Everyone knows storage rooms should be pink.
- Problem solved. let's go.
- Are you sure you don't want to paint today, Kelly? - I'm really good at opening paint cans!
- I'm sure you are, Squeeze, but I'll have to wait for a day when the store is closed.

- Perfecto!  I think I'll make myself a little cup of tea, then I can finish solving my puzzle.
- I just don't understand. How can it not be ringing? I mean, it rings all the time. It's almost like it's-- hey, that's it. It must be broken!
- I don't think so, Squeeze.
- Sure it is, but that's okay 'cause we can fix it!
- Wait, squeeze.  Shouldn't we ask Manny first?
- Oh, Rusty, didn't you hear him? He wants to work on his puzzle. Besides, think of how proud he'd be if we fixed it ourselves.
- Not a good idea.
- Count me out.
- If you help me, and we don't find anything wrong, you can all go back to playing your instruments. Okay?

-  I was sure we'd find something wrong with it.
- Well, there sure is something wrong with it now.
- It's ringing! Oh.
- Hola, Señora Portillo. Hola, Alex. It's nice to see you.
- We're glad to see you too, Manny. I just tried calling, but no one answered.
- Hmmm. that's strange. I never heard it ring. Looks like there might be something wrong with the phone, Mrs. Portillo. So, what can we do for you?
- Alex broke his robot. It's his favourite toy.
- Don't you worry, Alex. I'm sure the tools and I can fix it pronto!
- I hope so, Manny.
- Oh, yeah, Manny's right. We can fix it now, can we, Manny?
- Sure, Squeeze. We can fix it right away.
- Yuppie!
- Tell you what, Alex, why don't you and your abuela have a seat and we'll have your robot fixed in no time.  Looks like there's a broken bolt in the neck. I think we can fix that easily.
- Sounds like a job for a good pair of pliers!
- Or we can hammer it back in.
- Or cut the bad part off the end.
- Could you just put it back together right away? I don't like the way it's looking at me.
- Don't worry, everyone. I've got a spare bolt on my work bench. I'll get it and we can all fix the robot together.
- Yay! I'll go tell Alex the great news!
- Alex. Alex. guess what?...  Whatcha doing?
- He's trying to figure out what the picture is.  Maybe you can help him.
- Yeah, I can't figure it out.
- That's easy.
- It's a whole bunch of little dots.
- No, no. I've seen these puzzles before. You connect the dots together and it makes a picture.
- Really?

- I think it's gonna be a sailboat.
- Uh, squeeze?
- Yep.
- Maybe it's a spaceship.
- Pfft.
- It's an elephant!
- We figured it out!
- Hey, let's do another one.
- All done.
- Como nuevo - good as new.
- What?
- I missed the whole repair?
- Thank you for fixing it, Manny. And thank you too, tools.
