We use PRESENT SIMPLE tense to talk about general actions, habitual actions and general truths.

When we talk about singular NOUNS in the third person (he, she, it) we add the suffix -s or -es to the main verb. We add the suffix -es when the verb ends in: ch, sh, x, ss or vowel, and when the verb ends in consonant+y we change the y for i and then we add -es.

Examples:

I work in an office.
Sue and Max go to the supermarket every weekend.
Sue goes to the gym on Fridays.
You play soccer on Sunday morning.
