Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold you back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door

The snow blows white on the mountain tonight
not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation
and it looks like I'm the Queen
The wind is howling like the swirling storm inside
couldn’t keep it in, heaven knows I tried

Don’t let them in, don’t let them see
Be the good girl you always had to be
Conceal, don’t feel
Don’t let them know
Well, now they know

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold you back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand
and here I'll stay
Let it go, let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway

It’s funny how some distance
makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
can’t get to me at all
Up here in the cold thin air
I finally can breathe
I know I left a life behind but I’m too relieved to grieve

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold you back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand
and here I’ll stay
Let it go, let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway

Standing frozen...
in the life I’ve chosen
You won't find me...
the past is so behind me
Buried in the snow

Let it go, let it go
Can’t hold you back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand
and here I’ll stay
Let it go, let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway
(let the music go on)
let it go
And here I'll stay
Let it go, let it go
Oooooh let it go.

LET IT GO= Release (your fears); forget; get over it.

HOLD YOU BACK= (hold-held-held) To retain in one's possession or control.

TURN MY BACK= To abandon, forsake.

SLAM THE DOOR= Close the door violently, to shut with force and loud noise.

THE SNOW BLOWS= (blow-blew-blown) The snow is in a state of motion, used of the air or of wind. In the film, Elsa started a storm because Ana made her mad by asking to engage Hans after just meeting him.

IT LOOKS LIKE I'M THE QUEEN = Bear a physical resemblance to the Queen. No one is at the area Elsa is in, and she was at a christianing ceremony to become the Queen before running off. This means she is saying that she is truly queen because no one is there to be afraid of her.

THE WIND IS HOWLING= If the wind howls, it blows hard and makes a lot of noise.

SWIRLING STORM= Spiralling or twisting storm. The storm that is swirling around her is equal to the emotions that are swirling inside of her, conflicting and building up due to her past.

CONCEAL= /kən'si:l/ To keep from being seen, found, observed, or discovered; hide.

DON'T LET THEM KNOW= Don't let them be aware of. This is what Elsa’s father was always saying to her, to make sure Elsa didn’t show that she had powers to freeze and make ice.

BOTHERED ME= To give annoyance, pain, or trouble to me.

THE FEARS= The frights, things that cause you emotional distress.

AT ALL= In the slightest.
