Dancin' where the stars go blue
Dancin' where the evening fell
Dancin' in your wooden shoes
In a wedding gown

Dancin' out on 7th street
Dancin' through the underground
Dancin' little marionette
Are you happy now?

Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue (blue)
When the stars go blue (blue)

Laughing with your pretty mouth
Laughing with your broken eyes
Laughing with your lover's tongue
In a lullaby

Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I'll follow you
When the stars go blue (blue)
When the stars go blue (blue)
When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue

Where do you go, where do you go
When you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue, yeah
Where do you go
When you're lonely, I'll follow you
Follow you
Follow you
Yeah
Yeah-ie
Where do you go when you're lonely
Where do you go when you're blue
Where do you go when you're lonely
I´ll follow you

When the stars go blue
When the stars go blue
...the stars go blue
When the stars go blue

GO BLUE= Get sad.
Blue is often used in English as a metaphor for sadness.

WEDDING GOWN= /wedɪŋ gaʊn/ A special white dress women use for the wedding day (see picture)

ON 7TH STREET= In BrE we say IN the street, but in AmE they usually say ON the street.

UNDERGROUND= The tube, an underground train (AmE also: subway).

MARIONETTE= A puppet (see picture), someone controlled by someone else or the circumstances.

ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?= We often use this question meaning: ok, you finally did what you wanted to do and look what happened, I told you that you wouldn’t like it, are you happy now? (but since this is a very romantic song, it might also be a literal question, with no sarcastic tone implied)

LONELY= If you are lonely, you are sad because feel alone. If you are alone, you have no company, but maybe you feel alright. You can sometimes be in company but feel lonely. Sometimes you are physically alone but you don’t feel alone because you feel the presence of someone accompanying you or protecting you. Alone is how you are, Lonely is how you feel.

YOU’RE BLUE= You’re sad.

LAUGHING= standard BrE /lɑ:fɪŋ/ but also /læfɪŋ/, which is what we get here (and in standard AmE)

LULLABY= A soft tender song you sing to a baby to make them sleep.

The woman he loves is marrying someone else. That's why she's a marionette, a puppet in wooden shoes that are so heavy she can't escape. He's saying he will always be there for her regardless of the mistake she is making.
