13 year old boy wows all the girls in a school show /Paparazzi's cover

The next Justin Bieber, playing piano at a junior high school talent show. Introducing Greyson Chance.

In my opinion, this boy's cover is much better than the original song by Lady Gaga, which you can see here. As you can see, the lyrics used by this boy are not exactly the same as the original ones, there are some little changes.

We are the crowd
We're c-coming out
Got my flash on, it's true
Need that picture of you
It's so magical
We'd be so fantastic, oh

Leather and jeans
Garage glamorous
Not sure what it means
But this photo of us
It don't have a price
Loving you is Cherry Pie

'Cause you know that baby I-
I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Paparazzi
Baby there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be
Paparazzi

Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that girl is mine
Baby you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Paparazzi

I'll be your boy, backstage at your show
Velvet ropes and guitars
Yeah, cause you’re more a star
In between the sets
Cigarettes

Shadow is burnt while I'm dancing with you
My lashes are dry - purple teardrops I cry
It don't have a price
Loving you is Cherry Pie

'Cause you know that baby I
I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Paparazzi
Baby there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be
Paparazzi

Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that girl is mine
Cause baby you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Paparazzi

I'm your biggest fan
I'll follow you until you love me
Paparazzi
Baby there's no other superstar
You know that I'll be
Paparazzi

Promise I'll be kind
But I won't stop until that girl is mine
Baby you'll be famous
Chase you down until you love me
Paparazzi

In my opinion he just tought Lady Gaga a lesson.

Note: in some sentences the subject "I" is missing.

CROWD= Lots of people.

LEATHER= /leðə*/ A material made out of an animal skin (see picture). Here it refers to a leather jacket.

GLAMOROUS= With a cool and elegant appearance.

IT DON'T HAVE= Yes, it should be "it doesn't have", but colloquial English is like this sometimes.

IS CHERRY PIE= Delicious (yea, it can mean other things too, but I think this is the one she intends). But this expression also rings another bell. If you say that something is "easy as pie", you mean that it is very easy, very simple to do, so "loving you is cherry pie" can also give the idea that loving you is very easy. Easy and sweet.

PAPARAZZI= /pɑ:pɑ:rɑ:tsi:/ (BrE /pæpərætsi:/)(Italian, plural of “paparazzo”) A reporter specialized in taking pictures and news from celebrities.

CHASE YOU DOWN= (I'll chase you down) I will persecute you, go after you until I get you.

BACKSTAGE= The stage is the place where an artist performs in front of the public, and the backstage is the area behind the stage, hidden to the public.

VELVET= A soft fabric with a very elegant look (see picture)

IN BETWEEN THE SETS= A set is a stage, where the actors perform. She is more of a star in between the sets means that she is even better when she is not acting, that is, in real life she is even better than when she is a star performing.

LASHES= The little hairs at the end of your eyelids (see picture)

TEARDROPS= Liquid that falls from your eyes when you are very sad.

CRY= To shed teardrops because you are very sad, to weep.

CAUSE= (coll.) Because.

The message of the song talks about a fan who is so in love with a celebrity that he says he will become her private paparazzi and follow her everywhere until he gets her love.
