Another Harry Potter film. This time, the Evil is lurking among us.

What you're looking at are memories. In this case, pertaining to one individual. This is perhaps the most important memory I have collected. I’d like you to see it.

In all the years Tom’s been here, he never once had a visitor.
-You’re the doctor, aren’t you?
-No.
-Who are you?
-Well, I’m like you, Tom. I’m different.
-Prove it.

I can make things move without touching them. I can make bad things happen to people who are mean to me.
I can speak to snakes, too. They find me...whisper things.

-Did you know, sir...then?
-Did I know I just met the most dangerous dark wizard of all time?
No.

IN THIS CASE= In this situation.

PERTAINING= Belonging to. If something pertains to you, it belongs to you, it’s yours or refers to you. In this case, the memory refers to one individual.

COLLECT= To collect something means to get, to gather, to accumulate, to bring together.

I’D LIKE YOU TO SEE IT= Many verbs use this construction:
- I want to go --> both verbs have the same subject: I want, I go.
- I want him to go --> different subjects: I want, he goes.
- I need you to help me --> I need, you help me.
- I’d like you to see it --> I’d like, you see it.

HE NEVER ONCE HAD A VISITOR= The adverb ONCE is simply emphasizing the idea that he never had visitors, not even on one occasion, none, zero.

PROVE IT= If you prove something, you show that it is true by doing something or presenting data.

WITHOUT TOUCHING= Remember that after prepositions and conjunctions we use the –ing form of the verb.

MEAN= People who are mean are bad, unkind or cruel. If you are mean to somebody, you treat them badly.

SNAKES= Serpents; a reptile with no legs. In Harry Potter novels, the wizards who can talk to snakes are usually very evil (bad) and powerful.

WHISPER= To speak in a very soft voice.

WIZARD= One who practices magic; a sorcerer or magician. A dark wizard is an evil wizard, someone who uses his power to do bad things. The feminine of wizard is witch, though "witch" is usually a pejorative word.

THE MOST DANGEROUS d. w. OF ALL TIME= The most dangerous in history, the most dangerous ever. There was never a wizard more dangerous than him.
