A hit from 1982. Electronic music did well in the UK in the early '80s, but in America it was mostly appreciated in the club scene, and this song went to #1 on the US dance charts while being ignored by radio stations.

Came in from the city
Walked into the door
I turned around
When I heard the sound
Of footsteps on the floor

Love just like addiction
Now I'm hooked on you
I need some time to get it right
Your love's gonna see me through

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Oh, baby, make your mind up
Give me what you got
Fix me with your lovin'
Shut the door and turn the lock

Hey, go get the doctor
Doctor came too late
Another night, I feel all right
My love for you can't wait

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Came in from the city
Walked into the door
I turned around
When I heard the sound
Of footsteps on the floor

Said he was a killer
Now I know it's true
I'm dead when you walk out the door
Hey, babe, I'm hooked on you

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

Don't go
Don't go

CAME IN FROM THE CITY= The combined use of the prepositions suggests she comes from the city and has arrived into a country house (and that's where she meets him).

FOOTSTEPS= The sound or mark of feet walking.

HOOKED ON= If you are hooked on something or somebody, you really need it and can't live without it. You can be hooked on drugs or on your boyfriend, for example.

TO GET IT RIGHT= To assimilate it, to figure it out, to fully understand it.

GONNA= Going to.

SEE ME THROUGH= Help me in this difficult situation. Or simply: help me in life.

AIN'T= (slang) The negative form of the verbs To Be and To Have in the present:
- He ain't your brother = He isn't your brother
- I ain't got no money = I haven't got any money

MAKE YOUR MIND UP= Make your choice, Make a decision.

FIX= To solve a problem or to repair something broken. In this case, "fix me" means: cure me of my problems and traumas or whatever.

YOUR LOVING= Your love.

SHUT= Close.

TURN THE LOCK= Turn the key so the door is locked.

GO GET= (coll.) The verb GO is followed by infinitive with TO, but in colloquial English it is often followed by AND instead, and in very colloquial English it is followed by infinitive without to (especially in AmE). This last construction is more common in the imperative form:
- I'll go to buy some food
- I'll go and buy some food
- Come on, go buy some food!

A KILLER= (slang) Extremelly good.

I'M DEAD= I feel really terrible, I'm totally devastated.

Simply the story of an intense sudden love. She's a city girl just arrived in the countryside. There she meets a man and she immediately falls in love with him, so desperately that she feels she just can't live without him. Part of the lyrics suggest they are kissing and she just loses control and wants to make love with him. We don't really know his feelings or reaction but the lyrics, and the insistence of her cry "don't go", suggest that he's not very much into that. Or into her for that matter.

Alternativelly, maybe he was interested in her, but just for a while, so when they finished he just left and that's why she says that she can't stop now and she asks him not to go.

Said he was a killer
Now I know it's true
I'm dead when you walk out the door
Hey, babe, I'm hooked on you

Can't stop now, don't you know?
I ain't never gonna let you go
Don't go

So the process may be different, but the result is still the same. Now he's not interested and he leaves her.
