If you are twenty years old and I am twenty years old too, we are the same age. If I am forty and you are twenty, we are different ages. You say "I am twenty", "I am twenty years old", but you never say "I am twenty years of age". You might read in the paper, in a book, in a newspaper "twenty years of age", but you say "twenty years old".
